John and Nancy Aniston had a bouncing baby girl on February 11th, 1969, Jennifer Joanna Aniston .This Greek family made their home in Sherman Oaks, California. Jennifer parents both had acting careers and her mother also modeled. On the advice of Jennifer’s god-father, Telly Savalas they shortened their name to Aniston. Her father landed a role on "Days of Our Lives" as Victor Kiriakis.

Many know Anastassakis or even Anistonapoulos to be Jennifer's last name but  John's parents changed it to Aniston due to how hard it was to pronounce - when hey moved to US from Greece, when John was 18.

At the tender age of nine years old, while living in New York, her parents went their separate ways and divorced. While dealing with her parents separation, Jennifer focused on her acting at the young age of eleven. The Rudolf Steiner School’s drama club would provide the stepping stone needed to start her on her way. She also fell in love with art which later lead to an exhibition of one of her paintings in the New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Committed to her acting, Jennifer attended the New York School of Performing Arts, know as the "Fame" school and trained with Anthony Abeson.  In 1987, Jennifer graduated and started in theater, in off Broadway productions such as "For Dear Life" and Second Story Theatre's "Dancing on Checkers Grave". The work was as most "Starlets" find was not enough to survive and she started waitressing between her acting jobs. This lead to a move to Los Angles, California to find better roles and better paying acting jobs. She was disappointed at first to find the same problem in California.

Jennifer’s agent suggested that maybe she lose 20-30 pounds to help give her the look that TV roles demanded. Shortly there after she had several TV roles, but none lasted more than one season. However things started to turn around when she landed a guest appearances on "Quantum Leap" and "Herman’s Head." Her next role would prove to be the big break she had been waiting for in her career. She was originally asked to audition for the part of Monica on the new show "F*R*I*E*N*D*S, but after reading the part of Rachel she would have no other. The show became an over night success. The audience seem to connect with the characters and the great chemistry that they had with each other.

Jennifer had now gained the much desired acclaim she had strived for in her acting career, including the "Screen Actor’s Guild Award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series" that she shared with the whole cast.

How could we forget the Hair????????Jennifer AKA Rachel Green started  a craze that hairdressers all over the world were swamped with. This created a NIGHTMARE for stylist everywhere. Not everyone has the hair to achieve this look....Nor do they have the bodies to match! This left many stylists with clients saying "But it does not look like Rachel’s. "The stylist were surely thinking to themselves, "I am a beautician not a Magician."

Now beginning to enter the sixth season, F*R*I*E*N*D*S  remains to be one of the most popular sitcoms on television. In 2000, after a widely publicized battle with NBC over $, Jennifer and her fellow cast members negotiated a salary of $750,000.00 per EP. In addition to her other stardom perks, she is always making the headlines about something be it her personal relationships or her style setting trends. In 1995, she dated Counting Crows band member Adam Duritz, before starting a three-year relationship with actor Tate Donovan, which ended in 1998. Later that year, she began a serious romance with actor Brad Pitt. Aniston and Pitt were married July 29, 2000 in Malibu, California. Though sadly in 2005 they announced their separation and filed for divorce.
